SIERRA VISTA — Square dancing is alive and well here.

Based on an American tradition that dates as far back as the immigrants who settled this country, square dancing got its start through different Old World folk dances.

Every Friday evening, groups of square dancing enthusiasts — members of the Thunder Mountain Twirlers — meet for an evening of old-fashioned fun.
