Tombstone courthouse set for closure

TOMBSTONE — The headsman has been put on standby and come 5 p.m. March 29, the ax is set to fall on the Tombstone Courthouse Historic State Park.
Monday, the agenda for Friday’s meeting of the Arizona State Parks Board was released and on the agenda was a list of parks being recommended for closure.
Of the 27 state park facilities, only nine will remain open, with 13 joining the five that were previously closed, according to the agenda.

It is so sad. That is one of our favorite places to visit and do so every year when we travel out there. Way too much history on Tombstone is there. Where will all the artifacts go? Soon all that will be left in Tombstone are the ghosts!!!
