SIERRA VISTA — Phoenix Greyhound Park held its last live dog race on Dec. 19, marking the end of a long racing tradition in the Phoenix area. The park opened in 1954 and held live races seven days a week.
Along with about 150 lost jobs, the track closure displaced about 160 greyhounds, all needing to find homes.

I thought that everyone should be able to see the contact information if they
wanted to help with the closure of the track. You can go to
www.azgreyhounds.com to get more info about adoption. Retired racing
greyhounds are absolutely wonderful pets. If you’re thinking about adopting a
dog, keep this organization in mind. God Bless!
