A man convicted of misdemeanors for acting recklessly by starting the Moon Canyon wildfire in Old Bisbee last year will get sentenced in January.

James “Jace” Ray was found guilty during a bench trial on Oct. 28 in Cochise County Superior Court of recklessly setting the fire and reckless burning on March 20, 2008. He was scheduled to appear in Division 6 court on Friday for sentencing, but that hearing date is now set for Jan. 14. A restitution hearing will be held at the same time.
