The Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club delivered blankets, pet food, dog beds, towels, toys and other supplies to the Sierra Vista animal shelter on Friday. “They’re in dire need at the shelter,” said Renne Politi club publicity chair. This was the first year the kennel club organized a holiday donation for the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center, she said. Those who want to donate supplies to the shelter can call 458-4151 and select option 3 for donation information. A canned food drive is being sponsored by ALCO for the men’s homeless shelter in Bisbee. Food can be dropped off at the San Jose location in the Safeway shopping center on Naco Highway or at the Bisbee Chamber of Commerce on Main Street in Old Bisbee.
