SIERRA VISTA — While there has been a Tamiflu resistance in some H1N1 patients with compromised immune systems, the World Health Organization does not believe it reflects a major change in the virus’ susceptibility to the drug.

Nine people in Britain and the U.S. developed a Tamiflu-resistant form of swine flu while being treated for blood cancers, said WHO flu expert Keiji Fukuda. As of late Friday, the Arizona Department of Health Services had not issued a public warning about the Tamiflu-resistant cases, said Janey Pearl, state Health Department spokeswoman.

I am one of those who always got the Flu if I did not get the annual shots. I
got the regular flu shot this year, but have not gotten this new type of flu
shot. At 84 years of age, I guess I’ll let the younger ones get their shots
before I try to get mine. Just hope I don’t get that gosh aweful type of flu
this year.

How can they say how many people have been killed by it when the CDC ordered
doctors to stop testing for it back in July-August?

I read online that wall street is a priority for the flu shot. I guess they
are more important than children.

I did not see the article, but my thoughts on it are. First, I don’t think
any one thinks children aren’t worth it. Every article I’ve seen had the ages
for children. Wall Street, Chicago Stock Exchange these are pretty big. They
deal with trade and economy. H1N1 along with the flu can spread rapidly. They
just had school closures here. Stress makes it easier for someone to get
sick….your body is worn down. And as we’ve seen, stockbrokers, traders,
runners are at a very high pace. Can you imagine if they got sick and the
stock market had to close. I might be wrong, but I don’t think it has any
thing to do with not caring for children.

Title: H1N1

Not everyone decides to vaccinate against the virus H1N1. The more your
child. A good alternative - everyone knows Tamiflu, is sold at a good price
 online….

…when it’s very toxic for children and pregnant women? Does it cause birth
defects or miscarriages? What else does it do? Why rely on Tamiflu when
natural antivirals will do the job better at less cost with NO toxicity. And
the flu virus does not form resistance to natural antivirals, meaning they
will keep on working against it for as long as it circulates. How sad that
modern medicine won’t recommend products that work, but will only prescribe
‘patented medicines’ simply because they are patented. It’s a huge rip-off.
