HONOLULU — There was one thing Vesta Will was determined to do, and that was hear a concert.

Sitting on the ground level of the Ala Moana Shopping Center — the largest mall in Hawaii — the 82-year-old lifelong Hawaiian resident was waiting for the Buena High School School band’s concert to start.

It had been delayed by nearly an hour because Honolulu traffic caused the instruments not to arrive on time.
