Homeland Security funds provide $39,000 upgrade for robot
SIERRA VISTA — Maxing out at 7 mph, the city’s robot, Mike•E, has been given a $39,000 upgrade, thanks to leftover 2004 grant funds from the federal Department of Homeland Security.
The Sierra Vista Fire Department has updated its third-generation Talon Robot, which serves the Sierra Vista Police Department and other local agencies, with many new features.
