I spent a week in Manila finishing up my three months as a trainee to become an official Peace Corps volunteer. I met with my counterpart for my future permanent site, and during the week, we learned about different ideas that we could take back to San Jose. It was good working with my counterpart and developing a six-month work plan as well as learning about each other’s work styles. However, the week was not all work.
