TOMBSTONE — Residents of this tourist destination are getting support from U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords regarding the installation of lights and a crosswalk on a street where an accident fatally injured a  British couple recently.

Stating that she was “shocked and saddened” after learning of the Oct. 19 deaths of Arthur and Winifred Wilkinson, the congresswoman sent a letter to Gov. Jan Brewer, asking her to act “as quickly as possible” to improve the safety of Highway 80 (Fremont Street) where it crosses through the town.

Giffords is quite the brown noser now. She thinks she will apease us with a
crosswalk but do as Pelosi pleases on Cap and Trade? I’m sure we all know the
crosswalk is needed, but who contacted the paper to inform them of Gifford’s
letter writting? I’m sure it wasn’t Brewer’s office, Tombstone officials
didn’t seem to know, sooo I’m betting on Gifford’s office. She makes me
physically ill, even if it wasn’t her minions that contacted the Herald of
her “good deeds”.
