Post to draw protesters this weekend

SIERRA VISTA — Since 2004, one Sunday in November has been the time when a group of people gather outside Fort Huachuca’s Main Gate to protest what they say are torture procedures being taught on the post.
And every year, the anti-post group is countered by supporters of the fort.
This year, the sixth year of the event, will begin at noon Sunday with a “No to Torture Rally” followed by a procession from Len Roberts Park where protesters are expected to hold “A Vigil of Presence” across from the post’s main gate.

No protestors were ‘paid’ to come here. (Shame on like-minded locals
afraid to show your faces!) They hold firm convictions which-SURPRISE!-differ
from the SV majority viewpoint. Last time I looked, political protest in the
streets of America (gasp!—outside military bases too!) is still
constitutionally guaranteed ESPECIALLY if we don’t like the message, think
it’s wrong, hate the protesters, etc. Our freedoms are not protected by the
military—they are protected by the Constitution. Torture is banned in name
only, the perps are still loose, there’s no accountability & the whole
world knows it. The Obama admin has photos & videos of American GIs torturing
women & children in front of their captured family members in ‘hopes’ of
securing HUMINT. Supposedly these pictures won’t be released because they
would ‘place our troops in danger’. TRUE! Once Islamics see American GIs
raping & sodomizing women & children, no US soldier will be safe in Islamic
lands. TORTURE = U.S. TROOPS AT RISK
Auntie, shame on you. That has occurred in very few instances. I have no
regard for people such as yourself who want to stereotype and denigrate all
our soldiers when our country was attacked first. If you have such sympathy,
as they say—don’t let the door hit you… Let me guess, you also will say
not all Muslims are terrorists just because a few are, but you are willing to
paint all soldiers badly. Bite the hand that feeds you much?
Once again this group of rent a protestor shows up in SV to protest false
claims against Ft. Huachuca. Thier protest is illegitmate. Thier cause is
diminished by the presence of real Americans, including Veterans and Patriot
Riders. Soldiers at the gate arrest another whimpy protestor that entered Ft.
Huachuca unauthorized as other protestors line up in front of the gate, the
SVPD did nothing until a few of us cross the street, we are forced to go back
to “our corner” humm, SVPD said we can’t cross but the protestors can, what’s
wrong with this picture?Those protestors dressed like Jihad should be sent to
Gitmo, those that protest our Military should leave the country, those that
falsely accuse the post of illegal activity should be taken to trial, those
that enter the post unauthorized should be arrested, Federal Crime, right?
Those so called “for peace” protestors are ingrates and should not be allowed
to come to SV to break the law & disprespect those that afford them thier
freedom.
What is your proof that the military is not using those techniques? I support
the military and Ft. Huachuca, but no one really knows what is going on. By
the way, people can protest thanks to the miltary protecting us and the US
Constitution.
Give me a break. Obama has banned torture and so these fools come up with
something else. They protest to be disruptive plain and simple. Get a life
already. Haven’t they realized they don’t make major headlines anymore?
Everyone’s moved on….I guess pity is about all I have left for these
people.
Most protestor groups fill up with for-hire at $25.00 a pop protestors. Most
have no idea what they are protesting against nor do they care. When will
America wake up? These protestors are ingrates most wouldn’t serve if they
were physically & mentally fit to do so. Obviously thier false accusations of
torture has withered away so now they want to fluff themselves up by building
another false case against our Military and Ft. Huachuca.Do these ingrates
care about our Americans that have died protecting the civilians in these
countries? I think not! If we are guilty of these accusations, so be it
whatever it takes to defend Our Military and Our Country!I have to wonder how
it is a Veteran of the Vietnam War can lead these protestors he didn’t seem
to mind our defense mechanisms that afforded him a safe return home and alive
he couldn’t be anymore hipocritical! I do believe he and the majority of
these protestors are simply full of hot air, empty space and themselves!
Last year when these protestors made thier weak attempt to “storm the post
gate” instead of arresting the fool, a warning was given. A warning? What if
anyone else did that, would we not be arrested and put behind bars for
entering a federal installation without authorization. Did this protestor
sign in and provide proof required to enter the post or have legit ID, why
are these protestors an exception. The protestors have been given far more
time and consideration than they deserve, they are harrassing and demeaning
those that give them thier freedom of speech. The post has granted them
access to witness proof thier accusations are incorrect, what more should
these peope be given? Nothing! Get them out of here and stop wasting our
taxpayer dollars by allowing them to break the law. SVPD Sit Rep of 2008 -
due to the anti-protestors it cost the city $7,000.00 to provide over time
officers to cover this rally, what? I do believe the cost and loss stems from
the protestors!
If some terrorist plans to attack America and has vital information that
could save thousands of lives -then do anything in order to get the
information.
