SIERRA VISTA — The importance of veterans and the service they have done for the nation is well understood by Congress, Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords said on the day set aside to honor those who have served in the nation’s defense in peace and war.
Like many who were speaking about Veterans Day 2009, the Arizona 8th Congressional District representative took time Wednesday to talk about the Fort Hood, Texas, shootings.
