A spokesman for the Arizona National Guard said no soldiers from a state Army National Guard unit at Fort Hood were harmed in the shooting rampage Thursday at that Texas post.

Members of the Arizona National Guard’s 158th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion are currently training at Fort Hood, Texas. However, they were not involved with the incident that occurred there, Maj. Paul Aguirre said.

We have been in phone contact with their leadership, and all 86 Arizona Army National Guard soldiers are accounted for and unharmed,” he said.
