A visit to Fort Huachuca gave a small  group of Washington, D.C.-based military attachés and some of their wives a quick look at the uniformed and civilian aspects of U.S. Army life.

Col. John Rouse, the assistant military attaché at the British Embassy, said visits he makes with counterparts from other nations give a sampling of what soldiers go through in the United States.

For the spouses who accompanied the attachés, they learn about the lives of American Army families, Rouse said.
