County will use $147,750 in federal funding
BISBEE — Thanks to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the county emergency services director will be able to fund needed equipment, essential training and mobile message boards with $147,750 in grants.
Director Mike Evans got the approval to accept the funds by Cochise County Board of Supervisors members Ann English and Richard Searle, (Supervisor Pat Call was attending another function), during Tuesday’s meeting of the board.
Though the item was on the supervisor’s consent agenda, Evans provided additional information in an interview.
