Cole writes, On Tuesday, the district’s Huachuca City School was closed
when 36 percent of its students were out with flulike symptoms, marking
Cochise County’s first school closure in the current swine flu outbreak. Is
there one case of swine flu in this county? It probably is just the normal
flu cycle, but the reporter has to throw a scare into it.
I think there is a huge dilemma going on with the swine flu. Do you choose to
get the vaccination when it has been put together quickly, or do you take a
chance of getting the swine flu? There is risk in both approaches which makes
the swine flu issue a rather dangerous one.
My child came home from school saying that they learned to cough and sneeze
into their elbow with Germy Wormie, and I was totally taken aback. I always
covered with my hands. But I went to the website and now I get it, hands
touch, elbows don’t!! Kids can touch 300 surfaces in 1/2 hour and they hate
to wash their hands. There is also a DVD that teaches them in a fun way the
elbow cough, as well as other necessary hygiene habits.
