BISBEE — Tuesday, the Cochise County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution establishing a portion of Calle Encina as a declared county highway to provide a parking area for visitors to Garden Canyon Park.

The intent is to grade and chip seal an 80-foot by 200-foot parking area at a trail head up Garden Canyon on the public right of way. The project would be done by county staff and paid for with the discretionary funds of Supervisor Pat Call. Each year, $100,000 is set aside for special projects in each of the districts.
