Bisbee's Copper Queen Hospital celebrates 125 years
BISBEE — From its humble beginning in a mine tunnel, what is now known as the Copper Queen Community Hospital has made giant strides to ensure that rural residents living in the county have access to the same quality of health care as one would find in larger cities.
At the hospital’s 125th anniversary bash Sunday, CQCH administrators, board members and the women’s auxiliary were joined by a few hundred Bisbee residents and community leaders.
Joe Saba was born 61 years ago in the hospital, where his father, Joseph, worked as a physician for 40 years.
