7:30 p.m. Burnout planned Monday night

Weather permitting, U.S. Forest Service officials will be conducting a burnout this evening between Antelope Way and East Carr Canyon Road, west of Highway 92.

This area is located behind residential areas on East Loma Lane, East Poncho Trial, East Yaqui Street and East Choctaw Drive. Smoke and flames may be visible by residents as far north as Wilcox Drive in Sierra Vista, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office announcing the plans.
