Local doctor and spouse bring health care to deprived area

Dr. Suzanne Daly and her husband, Allan, in front of her new office at Sierra Vista. The Dalys worked together to bring improved health care to the 30,000 people of the Marovo Lagoon in the Solomon Islands. In 2009, Dr. Daly won the Frist Humanitarian Award for her work in the region.

SIERRA VISTA — In the summer of 2006, what started out as a relaxing scuba diving excursion in the Solomon Islands, became a life-changing mission for Dr. Suzanne Daly and her husband, Allan.
