Don’t miss this Sunday’s Santa Cruz Valley Organic Farm Tour — an open house all day 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tour of five organic farms and two organic gardens with lots of fun for the whole family. Farm tours will be given by farmer Stewart Loew of Agua Linda Farm pictured here with his wife, Laurel, at their Farm Store where fresh produce, garlic braids, frozen grass-fed meats and local honey will also be for sale.

Take a Sunday drive and visit five organic farms and two organic gardens in the Santa Cruz Valley. The all day, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. open house tour is free and self-guided so you can do it at your own pace. This is a great opportunity to find out how to raise vegetables, fruits, nuts and animals at home as many of the farming practices on exhibit can be scaled down to feed a family. There will be lots of food and fun for the whole family. Bring a cooler for frozen meats and fresh produce.
