Amateur astronomers hope to find exoplanet

SIERRA VISTA — Two local stargazers are striving to reach a milestone in amateur astronomy in their search for planets outside of our solar system.
No amateur astronomers have ever discovered an exoplanet, which is a planet orbiting a star other than the sun, without the help of professionals, said Dave Healy, a member of the Huachuca Astronomy Club.
