Author to sign WWII Marine books
The Marine Corps history of World War II brings to mind images of Guadalcanal, Tarawa and Iwo Jima. But Marines also served and fought in France, Italy, Yugoslavia and other Nazi-occupied countries as well as Burma and China with the Office of Strategic Services. Approximately 76 Leathernecks served in OSS Special Operations.
Local author John Mancini tells some of their stories in his book “Cloak and Dagger Leathernecks: Fighting OSS Marines.”
