Jahnel Curfman in Hollywood movie ‘Avatar’
An actress who grew up in Sierra Vista has spent more than two years in New Zealand and California working on James Cameron’s new 3-D futuristic thriller “Avatar” coming to theaters Dec. 18.
Jahnel Curfman’s role as an actress and stunt performer will be seen in live-action sequences and motion capture, a technique that records human movement and translates that movement onto a digital model.

There has been huge buzz around this movie. I hope it lives up to everyone’s
expectations of Cameron. Everything he touches does turn into little gold
(Oscar) men. So, I’m sure this is going to be amazing. Congrats to Curfman
for getting to work on such an epic movie.
