For the 17th year, the annual Forgach House Variety Show will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Buena Performing Arts Center.
Mitzi Kirmse has been the driving force behind the event and she tell me this year’s theme is “The Great Pretenders”.
Entertainers will include local and out of state artists performing in the style of Patsy Cline, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Whitney Houston and many more. The Buena High School Show Band and Alma Dolores International Dancers also will be on the stage.
It will all come together under the able hands of emcee Tim Quinn.
The headliner, so to speak, will be Gilbert Gauthier. Mitzi says he’s coming from Las Vegas and does a wonderful, dead-on impression of Frank Sinatra.
All proceeds from the event go to the Forgach House which is Sierra Vista’s domestic violence center to help abused women and their children.
Tickets are on sale now for $18 for adults and $6 for those 6-12 years old. Children under 6 will be admitted free. Tickets at the door will cost $20.
Outlets are at ACE Hardware, Banner Printing, Dillard’s, Ethel Berger Center, Oscar Yrun Community Center, Safeway and the Windemere Hotel
