VAIL — The Buena Colt wrestling team suffered their second worst loss in school history Wednesday, losing to Class 4A-I Cienega, 68-0, in a match wrestled before the entire student body at Cienega High School.
Buena’s worst loss was against Sunnyside High School, 81-0, in 2005.
“We were intimadated and tired,” Buena coach Dan Southard said. “Some of our wrestled have had 27 matches in the past 10 days starting with the Marana Duals.
“Our three or four top wrestlers who made it through to the finals at both the Marana Duals and Catalina Invitational have had the most mat time.”
