Apaches stay atop ACCAC

PRESCOTT — The Cochise College men’s basketball team won its 10th straight game Wednesday night and stayed unbeaten atop the conference standings with a 107-99 win over Yavapai.

In a game that saw 19 lead changes, the Apaches came back from a 44-43 halftime deficit to open a lead as large as 15 in the final 10 minutes.

Victor Reid led the Apaches with 27 points and 10 rebounds, Marcus Williams had 23 points and D.J. Wolfe came off the bench to score 13 points.

The Apaches (13-2, 7-0) host Mesa Community College Saturday at 7:30 p.m. immediately following the women at 5:30.
