The following are highlights from the calls for service or citizen contracts received or initiated by the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Dec. 24
• 10:15 a.m. — A woman, 42, was cited and released for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 400 block of Fry Boulevard.
• 11:36 a.m. — A vehicle parked in the 20 block of Wolfe Street was vandalized with spray paint with “SK” and “311” sometime during the night.

• 11:41 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the 100 block of Fry Boulevard. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 12:29 p.m. — CSR Cash Advance at 140 W. Fry Blvd. reports that they cashed two checks for approximately $2,000 that turned out to be fraudulent checks. The investigation continues.
• 2:38 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Lenzner Avenue. One vehicle made a turn in front of the other vehicle. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 3:15 p.m. — A resident in the 2600 block of Copper Sunrise reports that her debit card was used while she was deployed overseas. The card was used for a total of $39.99.
• 3:46 p.m. — A woman, 18, was cited and released for shoplifting two compact discs and a DVD from Wal-Mart at 657 N. Highway 90.
• 4:25 p.m. — A 17-year-old juvenile was cited and released for shoplifting two compact discs from Wal-Mart. He was released to his parents.
• 4:36 p.m. — A customer at Wal-Mart discovered both of the mirrors on his vehicle had been broken.
• 5:06 p.m. — A shoplifting was reported at CVS Pharmacy. A woman was reported to have taken cappuccino drinks and anti-fungal nail solution and ran off. The woman was gone prior to police arrival.
Dec. 25
• 12:41 p.m. — A woman, 18, was booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence criminal damage after breaking a window in her relative’s residence in the 500 block of South Seventh Street.
• 6:14 p.m. — A man, 20, was booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence threats after an argument with roommates in the 500 block of South Coronado Drive.
• 11:22 p.m. — A man, 26, was cited and released for extreme driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Lenzner Avenue. The vehicle he was driving has been impounded for 30 days.
Dec. 26
• 1:58 a.m. — A woman, 26, was cited and released for driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 700 block of Fry Boulevard.
• 7:56 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Wilcox Drive and Seventh Street. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
• 8:07 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Garden Avenue and Wilcox Drive. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
• 11:14 a.m. — A three-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Frontage Road and Avenida Cochise. One vehicle ran a stop sign and was struck by another vehicle then struck a third vehicle. Two vehicles were towed from the scene. The extent of the injuries are unknown.
• 11:39 a.m. — While investigating the three-vehicle accident at Frontage Road and Avenida Cochise, another vehicle went around traffic cones and collided with another vehicle. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
• 2:13 p.m. — A resident in the 1400 block of Sierra Drive reports that two laptop computers were stolen from her residence by a possible known person. The investigation continues.
• 3:02 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the area of Fry Boulevard and Coronado Drive. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 5:23 p.m. — An employee at Fed-Ex, 4062 E. Industry Drive, reported that a customer possibly stole $100 when making a purchase. The investigation continues.
• 5:33 p.m. — A resident in the 3000 block of Mountain Ridge Drive found damage to the front and side doors. It appears someone attempted to break into the residence but was unable to. The investigation continues.
• 7:32 p.m. — A man, 42, was booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence assault after allegedly arguing with and pushing his roommate in the 90 block of Bel Aire Place.
• 8:25 p.m. — A wallet with approximately $100 was lost at the Mall at Sierra Vista. The wallet was returned but the $100 was missing from the wallet.
• 9:42 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings, 205 S. Highway 92. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
Dec. 27
• 1:43 a.m. — A woman, 44, was cited and released for driving under the influence after contact in the Denny’s parking lot at 2397 Fry Blvd.
• 4:04 a.m. — A woman, 24, was cited and released for driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Highway 92 and Foothills Drive.
• 10:32 a.m. — Theft was reported by staff at Villa’s Pizza in the Mall at Sierra Vista. Money was missing from a cash drawer. The investigation continues.
• 2:10 p.m. — A man, 18, was arrested for shoplifting at Spencer’s Gifts in the Mall at Sierra Vista. He was cited and released.
• 2:15 p.m. — A man, 25, was arrested for domestic violence/assault at the My Place Restaurant, 1081 E. Fry Blvd. The arrest stemmed from an incident reported on Dec. 22. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 2:32 p.m. — Shoplifting was reported by Sears, 2250 El Mercado Loop. An unknown woman took items without paying. The investigation continues.
• 2:35 p.m. — Burglary was reported at a residence in the 300 block of West Busby Drive. Various items were taken.
• 6:53 p.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. He was cited and released.
• 6:53 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the 1400 block of Via Viento. A boy who was driving on of the vehicles was cited for unsafe backing.
• 8:10 p.m. — A boy, 17, was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Fry Boulevard and El Camino Real. He was cited and released. The vehicle was impounded.
• 9:08 p.m. — A citizen in the 2700 block of Thunderbird Drive reported hearing a gun shot in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a source.
• 11:11 p.m. — A man, 26, was arrested for extreme driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of Highway 90 and Colonia de Salud. He was cited and released. The vehicle was impounded.
Sunday
• 12:20 a.m. — Domestic violence was reported in the 500 block of North Avenue. When officers arrived, one of the parties involved was gone. No arrest has been made at this time.
• 12:44 a.m. — A man, 19, was arrested for underage driving under the influence and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the area of Calle Mercancia and Avenida Cochise. He was cited and released. The vehicle was impounded.
• 1:28 a.m. — A man, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of marijuana after police contact in the 200 block of West Fry Boulevard. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 2:31 a.m. — Disorderly conduct was reported at Denny’s Restaurant, 2397 E. Fry Blvd. Officers made contact with several subjects there. At 3:21 a.m., an officer in the area reported hearing a gunshot in the same vicinity. A .45-caliber pistol was located in the area, and the weapon was taken for safekeeping. Officers were unable to locate three vehicles that fled from the area that may have been involved. Information has been forwarded to the Sierra Vista Police Department Special Operations Bureau. No further information was available.
• 3:30 a.m. — A man, 29, was arrested for domestic violence/assault after police were called to a disturbance in the 900 block of Plaza Encanto. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 4:41 p.m. — Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at Applebee’s, 3899 El Mercado Loop. Someone placed a caustic substance on a vehicle in the parking lot, causing damage to the vehicle’s paint.
• 7:08 p.m. — A citizen in the 200 block of South Garden Avenue reported hearing a gunshot in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a source.
• 9:18 p.m. — Criminal damage was reported by a citizen in the 3500 block of Sparrow Drive. A vehicle window was shattered.
• 9:27 p.m. — A man, 42, was arrested for domestic violence/criminal damage after police contact in the 2600 block of Golden Eagle Drive. The original incident was reported from the same location on Dec. 20. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 11:03 p.m. — Assault was reported by a citizen in the 1200 block of Cottonwood Drive. A woman reported she was bitten by a known person. No arrest was made as stories were conflicting by parties involved.
Monday
• 12:21 a.m. — A man, 23, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after police contact in the 400 block of South Carmichael Avenue. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 3:32 a.m. — A stolen vehicle was reported by a citizen in the 400 block of South Garden Avenue. At 3:56 a.m., officers made contact with and arrested a woman, 22, for theft of the vehicle. She was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 5:24 a.m. — A stolen vehicle was reported by a citizen in the 40 block of Brockbank Place. The vehicle is described as a black 2008 Nissan Frontier pickup bearing Arizona license plate 975MSA AZ. A green 2008 KZ KX450 dirt bike, located in the bed of the truck, was also stolen.
• 5:27 a.m. — A woman, 26, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after police contact at Motel 6, 1551 E. Fry Blvd. She was booked into the Cochise County Jail.
• 7:50 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Buffalo Soldier Trail and Avenida Cochise. One of the drivers was cited.
• 11:04 a.m. — An employee at Twice as Nice, 195 S. Highway 92, reported theft. Someone took items from the store and returned them.
• 11:20 a.m. — An employee at Cactus Country Auto Sales reported theft of means of transportation. Someone purchased a vehicle and failed to make payments since Sept. 10.
• 11:37 a.m. — A resident in the 2700 block of Stonehenge Drive reported theft. A handgun was taken from the residence on Dec. 22.
• 12:22 p.m. — A resident reported criminal damage at the Mall, 2200 El Mercado Loop. The victim’s vehicle was keyed on the hood, driver’s side door and passenger’s side door on Dec. 19.
• 2:01 p.m. — A resident reported fraud. The victim’s credit card was lost at Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90, and has been used by an unknown person. The current loss is $112.
• 2:35 p.m. — A man, 27, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Canyon de Flores.
• 3:56 p.m. — A man, 19, was arrested for domestic violence/criminal damage after police were called to the 800 block of North Lenzner Avenue. He was booked into the jail.
• 9:51 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Calle Jinette and Paseo Las Palmas. A juvenile passenger also was referred for minor consumption of alcohol. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 10:28 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the 600 block of North Highway 90. One of the drivers was cited for an unsafe lane change.
• 11:06 p.m. — A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2200 block of El Mercado Loop. The victim may know the person responsible. Cash was taken from the vehicle.
• 11:29 p.m. — A resident reported interfering with judicial proceedings stemming from an incident at Cholla Circle and Sahuaro Drive on Dec. 22. The case is pending at this time.
• 11:42 p.m. — An employee at Fry’s Food Store, 4351 E. Highway 90, reported shoplifting. A man took a steak, stuffed it into his pants and left the premises without paying.
Tuesday
• 10:30 a.m. — A resident in the 2300 block of Horizon Drive reported fraud. An unknown person was reportedly using someone’s credit card in Tucson.
• 10:45 a.m. — An employee at Gas City, 2275 Buffalo Soldier Trail, reported theft of gasoline. Someone did not pay for fuel and departed the area.
• 11:15 a.m. — A woman of unknown age was arrested for theft stemming from an incident at Twice as Nice, 195 S. Highway 92, on Dec. 29. She was cited and released.
• 12:51 p.m. — A man, 42, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and two warrants. One warrant was for failure to comply, out of the Sierra Vista Police Department, the other was for failure to appear out of Maricopa after a traffic stop in the area of the 2000 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was booked into the county jail.
• 1:52 p.m. — A resident in the 200 block of North Garden Avenue reported criminal damage. An unknown person broke the rear window out of a parked vehicle.
• 4:01 p.m. — A report of disorderly conduct in the area of the Carmichael School, 701 N. Carmichael Ave. The victim was kicked, stomped, punched and kneed by a known person. The victim was taken to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. The known person fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
• 4:12 p.m. — A man, 31, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence after a traffic stop at Buffalo Soldier Trail and St. Andrews Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 4:28 p.m. — A resident in the 500 block of North Avenue reported theft. The victim is a vulnerable adult who loaned someone money they will not repay. The case has been filed and will be referred to the Department of Economic Security.
• 6:09 p.m. — A report of domestic violence/assault in the area of the 100 block of West Kayetan Drive. Due to conflicting reports and follow-up that was conducted, there were no charges filed.
• 6:25 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Highway 90. The wreck was a rear-end collision.
• 8:27 p.m. — A man, 52, was arrested for a hit-and-run wreck stemming from an incident in the 2000 block of Sonoita Drive. He was cited and released.
• 9:48 p.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for being a prohibited possessor, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, possession of drugs for sale (Methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana for sale. Another man, 19, was arrested for being a prohibited possessor and possession of drugs for pale (methamphetamine) after a traffic stop in the 300 block of El Camino Real. Both were booked into the county jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 10:11 p.m. — A report of shots fired in the area of Taylor Drive and Carroll Drive. An individual who was walking dogs in the area likened the sound to fireworks. The source was not found.
• 10:46 p.m. — A man, 43, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at Valerie Lane and Judd Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. He was cited and released.
• 11:58 p.m. — A man, 36, was arrested for driving with an expired out of state registration after a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Highway 90. He was cited and released.
Wednesday
• 12:27 a.m. — A woman, 20, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (under age) after a traffic stop at Highway 92 and Greenbrier Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days.
• 1:50 a.m. — A man, 29, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days.
• 8:29 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Industry Drive. No further information available.
• 12:50 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and St. Andrews Drive. One driver failed to control their speed, causing the collision.
• 3:55 p.m. — A burglary was reported in the 600 block of East Busby Drive. An 8-gigabyte iPod was taken from the premises last March. The victim stated they did not wish to pursue charges.
• 4:39 p.m. — A resident in the 400 block of South Garden Avenue reported violation of a court order. Someone had gone to the residence in violation of a valid court order.
• 5:09 p.m. — A man, 27, was arrested for failure to return rental property stemming from an incident reported earlier in the day at Rent 1st, 156 W. Fry Blvd. He was cited and released.
• 6:12 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the 2000 block of East Fry Boulevard. One vehicle made a wide right hand turn and struck a vehicle that was making a left hand turn. One of the drivers was cited for improper position when making a right turn.
• 9:30 p.m. — A man, 56, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol after a traffic stop in the 2000 block of El Mercado Loop. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.
• 10:18 p.m. — A man, 23, was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Fry Boulevard and Garden Avenue. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was booked into the county jail.
• 10:18 p.m. — A man, 25, was arrested on a warrant out of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage. He was a passenger in the vehicle from the above listed traffic stop. He was booked into the county jail.
• 10:41 p.m. — A man, 59, was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Wilcox Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 11:17 p.m. — A man, 23, was arrested on a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for failure to appear on a charge of shoplifting after a traffic stop in the 40 block of Avenida Escuela.
• 11:23 p.m. — An employee at Circle K, 95 Rainbow Way, reported shoplifting of a 30-pack of Budweiser beer. The Hispanic male suspect was described as being 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, mustache and goatee. The suspect left in a tan van toward the area of Rainbow Way.
• 11:49 p.m. — A woman, 22, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for failure to appear on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Buffalo Soldier Trail and Avenida Cochise. The vehicle was towed from the scene. She was booked into the county jail.
Thursday
• 1:24 a.m. — A man, 18, was arrested for minor consumption of alcohol after police were called to the 1200 block of Cottonwood Drive for the report of a disturbance. He was released to a parent.
• 2:15 a.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for failure to appear on a charge of minor consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop at Tacoma Street and Lenzner Avenue. He was booked into the county jail.
• 2:52 a.m. — A man, 34, was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful flight from law enforcement and reckless driving after an officer attempted to stop the vehicle he was driving eastbound on Fry Boulevard. He attempted to flee from the officer by driving the vehicle into an unimproved desert area, then running from the vehicle after stopping it in the vicinity of the 3300 block of East Fry Boulevard. He was apprehended after officers formed a perimeter of the area. A woman, 32, was cited and released for reporting the vehicle stolen during this incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. The man was booked into the county jail.
• 3:29 a.m. — A woman, 23, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. She was booked into the county jail.
• 7:44 a.m. — A man, 26, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and excessive speed after a traffic stop at Moonglow and Corral Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 4:10 p.m. — An employee at Circle K, 102 W. Fry Blvd., reported shoplifting. A man took a 12-pack of Keystone Light.
• 6:08 p.m. — A woman, 32, was arrested for possession of marijuana after police were called to a disturbance in the 4500 block of East Campus Drive. She was cited and released.
• 6:57 p.m. — A man, 29, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 3900 block of East Fry Boulevard. He was cited and released.
• 7:13 p.m. — A sexual assault was reported in the 300 block of North Seventh Street. The 14 year-old female victim was walking around another person’s residence and stated she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man. The case is under investigation.
• 11:53 p.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for minor consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Highway 92. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. He was booked into the county jail.
