The following are highlights from the calls for service or citizen contracts received or initiated by the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Dec. 19
• 7:46 a.m. — A resident in the 4800 block of Barranca Arbolada reported criminal damage. Tires on his or her vehicle had been slashed. A person has been named and the case is still under investigation.
• 8:42 a.m. — A juvenile was referred for truancy from the Pueblo del Sol Elementary School, 5130 Paseo las Palmas.

• 9:03 a.m. — A resident in the 200 block of Meadows Drive reported criminal damage. Five tires on two vehicles were slashed.
• 9:31 a.m. — An officer who had been conducting an investigation of criminal damage found another slashed tire in the 300 block of Meadows Drive.
• 9:58 a.m. — A two-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Coronado Drive and Crestwood Drive. No further information is available.
• 10:01 a.m. — A man, 24, was arrested for a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for failure to appear on a charge of shoplifting. He was booked into the county jail.
• 10:49 a.m. — A resident in the 1700 block of Corte Encantada reported criminal damage. Tires on his or her vehicle had been slashed.
• 11:46 a.m. — An employee at Sierra Suites, 391 E. Fry Blvd., reported theft of services. Someone paid a bill with a credit card that was rejected and they had already left the premises. The total due was $959.11.
• 12:07 p.m. — A three-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Avenida Escuela. The wreck was a chain-reaction. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 12:31 p.m. — A resident in the 200 block of Highland Drive reported criminal damage. A tire was slashed.
• 2:21 p.m. — A juvenile reported being followed by a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Carmichael School, 701 N. Carmichael Ave. The 14-year-old girl reported a white man, balding, wearing glasses and driving a full-size Chevy pickup followed her and said, “Hey little girl, my friend likes you.” The license plate of the vehicle is unknown, and no contact was made with the man in the pickup.
• 2:30 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Coronado Drive. One of the drivers failed to yield from a driveway resulting in the collision.
• 2:53 p.m. — A two-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Colonia de Salud. One of the drivers was cited for failure to drive in a single lane.
• 2:53 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Lenzner Avenue. One of the drivers was cited for driving too closely.
• 3:24 p.m. — A two-vehicle (car vs. motorcycle) injury wreck was reported in the 200 block of East Fry Boulevard. One of the drivers was cited for failure to yield from a driveway. The motorcycle operator was taken to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center for treatment.
• 3:36 p.m. — A man, 56, was arrested for shoplifting and theft. The shoplifting case was reported on Dec. 15. The theft charge was for taking money from someone’s purse in the 90 block of Bel Aire Place. He was booked into the county jail.
• 3:50 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Calle Mercancia. One of the vehicles failed to yield.
• 4:26 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Calle Portal and Fry Boulevard. One of the drivers was cited for failure to control speed to prevent a collision.
• 8:05 p.m. — A woman, 59, was arrested for shoplifting after police were called to Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. She was cited and released.
• 11:44 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Busby Drive and Lenzner Avenue. One of the vehicles ran a stop sign and caused the collision. One of the vehicles was towed from the scene.
• 11:49 p.m. — A resident in the 3500 block of Wheelan Loop reported criminal damage. Someone poured a type of glue on the vehicle and melted the paint.
• 11:52 p.m. — A report of domestic violence in the 400 block of Via Luna. A more lengthy press release was made on Dec. 20.
Dec. 20
• 12:53 a.m. — An employee at the Circle K, 102 W. Fry Boulevard, reported shoplifting. Two unknown people — no gender was provided — took two 24-packs of Bud Light and fled in an unknown direction of travel.
• 2:24 a.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Highway 90 and Highway 92. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.
• 8:36 a.m. — A juvenile was referred for assault stemming from an incident at Applebee’s, 3899 El Mercado Loop, on Dec. 19 at 9:46 p.m. The juvenile was cited and released.
• 9:43 a.m. — A man, 55, was arrested for shoplifting after police were called to Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. He took $48 worth of merchandise. He was cited and released.
• 10:03 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at highways 90 and 92. One of the drivers was cited for failure to control speed to prevent a collision.
• 1:42 p.m. — A resident in the 5000 block of Via de Lomas reported theft. A former roommate took items from the house without permission.
• 1:43 p.m. — A resident in the 3400 block of Wheelan Loop reported criminal damage. Paint thinner was poured on the person’s vehicles, damaging the paint.
• 1:49 p.m. — A man, 28, was arrested for shoplifting after police were called to Walmart, 657 N. Highway 90. He was cited and released.
• 1:50 p.m. — A resident reported theft from Buena High School, 5225 E. Buena School Blvd. Someone’s wallet was stolen from a classroom.
• 2:41 p.m. — Domestic violence/assault was reported in the 1100 block of North Seventh Street. A woman was picked up and thrown out a door, causing her to strike the door pillar. The case is under further investigation.
• 2:47 p.m. — A theft was reported from Deb, 2200 El Mercado Loop. Cash was taken from a cash register drawer. The case is under further investigation.
• 3:18 p.m. — A two-vehicle, motorcycle vs. car, injury wreck was reported in the 3900 block of East Fry Boulevard. Two victims were taken to the hospital. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
• 3:28 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Coronado Drive. One of the drivers was cited for failure to yield from a driveway.
• 4:40 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Wilcox Drive and Coronado Drive. One of the vehicles failed to yield at the intersection.
• 4:50 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for shoplifting after police were called to Fry’s, 4351 E. Highway 90. The juvenile was cited and released to a parent.
• 5:02 p.m. — Two juveniles were referred for possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to the Skate Park and Pro Shop, 3100 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Both were released to their respective parents.
• 10:40 p.m. — Domestic violence/criminal damage was reported in the 2600 block of Golden Eagle Drive. Someone threw a briefcase at the victim and broke glass pictures. They remains at large.
Sunday
• 12:57 a.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of a liquor violation after police contact in the 900 block of East Fry Boulevard. He was booked into the county jail.
• 2:14 a.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Fry Boulevard and Coronado Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.
• 4:29 a.m. — An employee at the Circle K, 97 N. Garden Ave., reported shoplifting. A Hispanic man who is approximately 19 years old wearing a black cap, blue hoodie and dark pants took two 30-packs of Bud Light.
• 2:10 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for sexual abuse and shoplifting after an incident at Kmart, 2011 E. Fry Blvd., was reported. The juvenile grabbed another juvenile in the vaginal area and took a can of “dust-off” from another local business. The juvenile was detained at the Juvenile Probation Office.
• 8:32 p.m. — A resident in the 10 block of East Martin Drive reported theft. A ring was taken from a closet.
Monday
• 1:21 a.m. — A juvenile was referred for being a runaway, false reporting to law enforcement and a probation violation after contact in the Palo Verde Drive and Sahuaro Drive area. The juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Probation Office.
• 2:01 a.m. — A woman, 38, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Snyder Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. She was cited and released.
• 10:16 a.m. — A man, 63, was arrested for criminal damage after police were called to Monty’s Motors, 601 E. Fry Blvd. He struck a vehicle’s window with a rock, scratching it and damaging the tint. He was cited and released.
• 11:23 a.m. — An employee at Gas City, 2275 Buffalo Soldier Trail, reported theft of gasoline. Someone left without paying for $24.00 worth of fuel.
• 12:55 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at McDonald’s, 1802 E. Fry Blvd. A dark maroon vehicle struck another vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot.
• 1:28 p.m. — A resident in the 1200 block of Colombo Drive reported identity theft. The incident occurred in 2003 and few details were available for the officer at the time of call.
• 2:09 p.m. — A woman, 31, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Buffalo Soldier Trail and St. Andrews Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 2:28 p.m. — An employee at Check & The Mail, 629 N. Highway 90 Suite 4, reported fraud. The individuals suspected are known and the case remains under investigation.
• 2:51 p.m. — An injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Avenida Cochise. A vehicle struck a bicyclist. The vehicle did not yield at a red light and was cited for the offense. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital.
• 5:11 p.m. — A resident in the 1200 block of Paseo Robles reported criminal damage. An unknown person broke the sunroof of someone’s vehicle.
• 5:47 p.m. — A man, 18, was arrested for shoplifting and a juvenile was referred for attempted shoplifting after police were called to Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. They were involved in taking Gillette Fusion razors.
• 7:43 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Coronado Drive. A dark colored vehicle struck a median street sign and fled the scene.
• 7:56 p.m. — An employee at Lids, 2200 El Mercado Loop, reported fraud. A person reported she provided her Social Security number to someone on the telephone and wired money to someone she didn’t know.
• 9:21 p.m. — A woman, 32, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 90 block of South Highway 92. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. She was cited and released.
• 10:41 p.m. — A domestic violence/assault was reported in the 90 block of Kings Way. The incident occurred on Dec. 15. The case remains under investigation.
Tuesday
• 7:59 a.m. — A report of criminal damage in the 70 block of West Martin Drive. The owner of the property reported the former tenant damaged the front door.
• 8:26 a.m. — A woman, 25, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. She was cited and released.
• 10:26 a.m. — A single-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Moorman Avenue. The vehicle’s front tires struck the curb. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 12:26 p.m. — A man, 40, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at Witt Drive and Second Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• 1:14 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Calle Portal and Fry Boulevard. No further information available about the wreck.
• 5:18 p.m. — A report of child abuse in the 5100 block of East Highway 90. Officers were called to the premises because a 3-year-old child left the residence and had a strong smell of marijuana. After further investigation, the case was forwarded to Child Protective Services.
• 5:55 p.m. — A three-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Buffalo Soldier Trail and Highway 92. None of the vehicles were towed.
• 9:33 p.m. — A burglary was reported in the 200 block of Whitton Street. A set of keys was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Wednesday
• 1:30 a.m. — A woman, 33, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Highway 90 and Schrader Road. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days.
• 6:45 a.m. — A man, 35, was arrested for a warrant out of Pima County Sheriff’s Office on the original charge of fraud after a traffic stop at Second Street and Wilcox Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was booked into the county jail.
