The following are highlights from the calls for service or citizen contracts received or initiated by the Sierra Vista Police Department.

Dec. 5

• 7:26 a.m. — A report of suspicious circumstances in the area of Shadow Ridge Drive and Sun Crest Drive. Reportedly, a man in his 60s asked some children if they “had lost something.” After making contact with the man, he alleged he had found an item the prior morning and believed the children may have lost it. He allegedly attempted to return the item to its rightful owner.

• 7:52 a.m. — A resident in the 800 block of North Lenzner Avenue reported criminal damage. The driver’s side rear window and side mirror were damaged overnight.



• 9:01 a.m. — An officer reported the sound of shots fired in the area of Wilcox Drive and Seventh Street. The source was not found.

• 10:34 a.m. — A man, 43, was arrested for shoplifting after police were called to the Circle K, 102 W. Fry Blvd. He took bananas from the store. He was cited and released.

• 11:15 a.m. — A man, 41, was arrested for shoplifting after contact in the 3300 block of Peregrine Drive. He was booked into the county jail.

• 11:38 a.m. — A woman, 25, was arrested for domestic violence/criminal damage after police were called to the 4300 block of Tierra Bien Court. She was booked into the county jail.

• 12:05 p.m. — A man, 21, was arrested for shoplifting after police contact at Marshall’s, stemming from an incident at Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90, that was reported on Oct. 31. He was cited and released.

• 12:14 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 2700 block of Central Park Drive. The victim reported on Sept. 5 a package was delivered to the residence and was stolen after being delivered by UPS.

• 1:02 p.m. — A resident in the 500 block of North Lenzner Avenue reported criminal damage. The spoiler was broken off the vehicle and scratch marks were made in the right rear-quarter panel of the vehicle.

• 1:27 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Lowe’s, 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. One vehicle was towed from the scene. No further information is available regarding this accident.

• 2:28 p.m. — A theft was reported in the vicinity of Peter Piper Pizza, 155 S. Highway 92. An item was left unattended and was subsequently taken.

• 2:52 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for theft after police were called to the Mall at Sierra Vista, 2200 El Mercado Loop. The juvenile took a large amount of money from his mother’s dresser and went on a shopping spree. The juvenile was cited and released.

• 3:26 p.m. — A resident reported child abuse at Bella Vista Elementary School, 801 N. Lenzner Ave. The parent of a 7-year-old child has reported he believes his child is being abused at school. The case is under investigation.

• 4:04 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported in the 1500 block of East Busby Drive. The suspect vehicle is white in color.

• 4:36 p.m. — A theft was reported from the 2800 block of Cardinal Drive. A known person took a gas can from the premises. They remains at large.

• 4:40 p.m. — A hit and run wreck was reported at M & M Auto Parts, 515 E. Wilcox Drive.

• 6:10 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 100 block of East Freihage Drive. A red canvas chair was taken from the front porch of the residence.

• 6:26 p.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for criminal trespass after police were called to the 70 block of El Camino Real. He was cited and released.

• 6:35 p.m. — A man, 61, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at Highway 92 and St. Andrews Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. He was cited and released.

• 10:27 p.m. — A report of shots fired in the area of the 900 block of North Colombo Drive. The source was not found.

Dec. 6

• 12:16 a.m. — Shoplifting was reported at the Circle K, 102 W. Fry Blvd. Two men took a 30-pack of beer and fled without paying.

• 12:30 a.m. — A juvenile was referred for driving Under the influence of alcohol and two other juveniles were referred for minor consumption of alcohol after police contact in the area of Theatre Drive and Seventh Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• 12:35 a.m. — A man, 43, was arrested for being a fugitive from justice after if was determined he had a warrant out of the California Department Of Corrections for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence after police served a search warrant at America’s Best Value, 100 Fab Ave. He was booked into the county jail.

• 1:56 a.m. — A man, 37, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was released to the Military Police.

• 6:19 a.m. — A report of 16 incidents of criminal damage in the 800 block of North Lenzner Avenue. An unknown person slashed 16 vehicles’ tires. One or two tires were slashed on each vehicle.

• 8:32 a.m. — A report of theft in the 4800 block of Loma Loop. A 3-foot snowman and a 5-foot-by-3-foot manger were taken from the front yard of the premises in the overnight hours.

• 8:38 a.m. — A woman, 31, was arrested for domestic violence/assault after police were called to the 2200 block of Las Brisas Way. She was booked into the county jail.

• 9:57 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Calle Mercancia. Neither of the vehicles were towed from the scene.

• 10:35 a.m. — An assault was reported in the 400 block of South Garden Avenue. One juvenile kicked another. The juvenile was referred and released after contact on Dec. 7.

• 11:24 a.m. — A subject reportedly had $120 stolen from the wallet they left unattended at the Sierra Suites, 391 E. Fry Blvd.

• 11:37 a.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Target, 4151 E. Highway 90. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

• 12:15 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported in the 2700 block of East Fry Boulevard.

• 1:25 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Charleston Road. One of the drivers was cited.

• 3:49 p.m. — A resident in the 3500 block of Sparrow Drive reported theft. An unknown person took Christmas decorations from a yard.

• 4:11 p.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at Target, 4151 E. Highway 90, on Nov. 2. He was cited and released.

• 4:49 p.m. — A man, 23, was arrested for a warrant out of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for speeding after police contact at a reported traffic accident at Highway 92 and Foothills Drive. He was booked into the county jail.

• 5:03 p.m. — A report of shots fired in the area of the Domingo Paiz Sports Complex, 3700 E. Tacoma St. The source was not found.

• 8:06 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Buffalo Soldier Trail and Highway 92. One vehicle sideswiped another when attempting to make a lane change.

Sunday

• 8:09 a.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Burger King, 415 N. Highway 90.

• 10:28 a.m. — Shoplifting was reported at Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. On Dec. 5, someone took a television from the premises and later dropped it in the general area. The property was recovered and returned to the store.

• 11:32 a.m. — A single-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Seventh Street. The vehicle ran the stop sign at Carmichael Avenue and Nelson Drive, eventually stopping in the east range of Fort Huachuca. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• 2:08 p.m. — A two-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Buffalo Soldier Trail and Garden Avenue. A car attempted to make a U-turn from the right lane of the roadway. A motorcycle struck the car when it was cutoff by the maneuver.

• 8 p.m. — A man, 28, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of prescription drugs and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at Highway 90 and Coronado Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.

• 9:39 p.m. — Theft was reported from Linda’s Lounge, 211 E. Bartow Lane. Three males reportedly took a bottle of alcohol from the premises.

• 10:10 p.m. — An assault was reported at the McDonald’s, 1802 E. Fry Blvd. The individual was in a dark colored sports utility vehicle parked in the parking lot and shot two victims with a paintball gun. The person was not found.

•10:33 p.m. — A woman, 22, was arrested for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after police were called to the 200 block of North Garden Avenue. She was booked into the county jail.

• 10:42 p.m. — Two men, aged 29 and 25, were arrested for disorderly conduct after police were called to the 500 block of South Seventh Street. They were yelling and banging on the doors in the area. Both were cited and released.

Monday

• 2:27 a.m. — A burglary was reported in the 500 block of South Carmichael Avenue. The victim’s dresser was emptied. The residence had no forced entry. A small amount of personal items were taken.

• 9:56 a.m. — A woman, 19, was arrested for child neglect after police were called to assist a city employee in the area of Bella Vista Drive and Lenzner Avenue. The city employee found a 2-year-old child walking on the sidewalk looking for their mother. The child was wearing a one-piece pajama set. The woman stated the child left the residence while she was asleep. The child was brought to Child Protective Services. The woman was cited and released.

• 11:54 a.m. — A resident in the 200 block of Tree Top Avenue reported a burglary. The suspect took an expired box of condoms from the premises.

• 1:47 p.m. — A resident in the 200 block of West Tacoma Street reported fraud. An Internet company sent the victim a check that was fraudulently drawn on another person’s account. The victim deposited the check into their account and drew from the account, subsequently overdrawing same when the check was determined to be fraudulent and the original account holder reported the fraud.

• 2:03 p.m. — A man, 20, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at First Street and Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.

• 2:52 p.m. — A man, 35, was arrested for domestic violence/assault stemming from an incident reported in the 1500 block of East Busby Drive on Dec. 3. He was booked into the county jail.

• 7:32 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at highways 90 and 92. One of the vehicles was towed from the scene. One of the drivers failed to yield at a red light.

• 8:14 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for destruction of a jail facility after police were called to the Juvenile Detention Center, 100 Colonia de Salud. The juvenile was an inmate in the facility and remained in custody after he was referred for pulling the sprinkler system.

Tuesday

• 6:46 a.m. — A burglary was reported at the Veteran of Foreign Wars, 549 Veterans Drive. When the caller entered the premises, she observed someone leave. No point of entry was found. Four bottles of alcohol were taken in the burglary.

• 7:14 a.m. — A Castle and Cooke employee reported a burglary at Thunder Meadows Trail and Desert Lily Lane. An unknown person took the tailgate off a pickup truck that was parked in a fenced yard.

• 8:26 a.m. — A vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block of North Toscanini Avenue. A stereo and speakers were taken from the unsecured vehicle.

• 8:28 a.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and La Linda Way.

• 9:14 a.m. — A resident in the 2100 block of Baywood Lane reported a vehicle theft. The vehicle was parked on the roadway when last seen by the victim.

• 9:14 a.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported in the 400 block of South Lenzner Avenue. An unknown vehicle struck the victim’s vehicle between Dec. 5 and 8.

• 10:06 a.m. — A three-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Highway 92. The wreck was a chain-reaction type.

• 10:25 a.m. — A woman, 38, was arrested for failure to return rental property after police were called to Rent 1st, 156 W. Fry Blvd. She was cited and released.

• 10:52 a.m. — A man, 24, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and a warrant out of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a traffic offense after a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Seventh Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was booked into the county jail.

• 12:16 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at the Department of Economic Security, 2981 E. Tacoma St. Someone hit the victim’s vehicle while parked in the parking lot.

• 12:16 p.m. — An employee at St. Vincent de Paul, 614 E. Bartow Drive, reported fraud. The employee reported they received a computer-generated forged check with their account number.

• 12:22 p.m. — A man, 45, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Highway 90. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• 12:47 p.m. — An employee at Aegis, 4251 Enterprise Way, reported fraud. Someone has been transferring American Express points to themselves and their relatives. The case is currently still under investigation.

• 2:33 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at CVS, 2090 E. Fry Blvd. A female driving a gold Suzuki struck the victim’s vehicle.

• 3:21 p.m. — A resident in the 2200 block of Carmelita Drive reported theft of mail. The case is forwarded to postal Inspection authorities.

• 6:02 p.m. — A man, 32, of Rochester, N.Y., was arrested after police served a search warrant in the 2100 block of Copper Sky Drive. Approximately 23 pounds of marijuana were seized. He was charged with possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotics (cocaine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the county jail and is being held on a $75,000 bond.

• 6:49 p.m. — A man, 42, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Highway 92. He was cited and released.

• 7:18 p.m. — A man, 25, was arrested for theft of service after police were contacted by an employee at Applebee’s, 3899 El Mercado Loop. The man did not pay his check. He was cited and released.

• 7:31 p.m. — A man, 19, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at Fry Boulevard and Lenzner Avenue. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.

• 9:15 p.m. — A three-vehicle, injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Highway 92. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.

• 10:05 p.m. — An employee at the Circle K at Cloud 9, 95 Rainbow Way, reported shoplifting. An unknown male took a pack of cigarettes from the counter and fled on foot.

Wednesday

• 1 a.m. — A man, 31, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.

• 6:21 a.m. — A resident in the 500 block of South Carmichael Avenue reported a hit-and-run wreck. The vehicle was struck overnight. The suspect vehicle left evidence at the scene.

• 9:23 a.m. — A resident in the 30 block of Hillman Alley reported criminal damage. A tire on a vehicle was slashed.

• 9:18 a.m. — A woman, 39, was arrested for three counts of felony shoplifting after police made contact at the Juvenile Probation Office, 101 Colonia de Salud. She was booked into the county jail.

• 9:55 a.m. — A resident in the 400 block of South Garden Avenue reported criminal damage. The victim reported than an ex-boyfriend had broken a window in their home.

• 9:38 a.m. — A resident in the 800 block of North Avenue reported theft of means of transportation. The case is under further investigation.

• 12:04 p.m. — A juvenile was cited for minor consumption of alcohol by report of the School Resource Office at Buena High School, 5225 E. Buena School Blvd. The juvenile was referred and released.

• 1:11 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for assault after police were called to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. The incident occurred at Buena High School, 5225 E. Buena School Blvd. The juvenile was referred and released.

• 3:09 p.m. — A resident in the 70 block of El Camino Real reported a vehicle burglary. A purse was taken from the vehicle.

• 3:22 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported in the 3700 block of Sandpiper Drive. No further information is available at this time.

• 4:53 p.m. — A man, 19, was arrested in the 4500 block of Camino del Norte for money laundering after police served a search warrant. The case stems from the marijuana seizure case on Dec. 9. He was involved with hiding and transferring funds in the drug case.

• 5:22 p.m. — A man, 63, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and operating in violation of a restriction after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Highway 92. The vehicle was towed from the scene. He was cited and released.

• 7:02 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and Moorman Avenue. No further information is available regarding this crash.

• 7:34 p.m. — Domestic violence/assault was reported at the Dollar Tree, 521 N. Highway 90. The case remains under investigation.

• 10:11 p.m. — An employee at Circle K, 200 S. Highway 92, reported shoplifting. A young man took a pack of cigarettes.

• 11:57 p.m. — A man, 35, was arrested for two warrants after police contact at the Sorry Gulch, 526 W. Fry Blvd. He was booked into the county jail.

Thursday

• 12:51 a.m. — A woman, 36, was arrested for a warrant after police contact in the 200 block of East Wilcox Drive. She was booked into the county jail.

• 8:13  a.m. — A vehicle burglary was reported behind Staples, 4299 E. Highway 90. An iPod, compact discs and prescription were taken from the vehicle.

• 1:08 p.m. — A woman, 32, was arrested for disorderly conduct after police contact in the 500 block of South Seventh Street. She was cited and released.

• 1:56 p.m. — Officers were called to the Cochise County Waste Transfer Station, 7201 E. Highway 90. Someone had gone into the waste transfer station and left what appeared to be dynamite and a blasting cap they had reportedly found in a house they were clearing. Department of Public Safety was called to remove the items. Officers believed they were not real explosives.

• 4:29 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Wal-Mart, 657 N. Highway 90. A woman drove away before providing required information.

• 4:36 p.m. — A man, 22, was arrested after a traffic stop at Colombo Drive and Industry. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. He was cited and released.

• 4:46 p.m. — A real estate agent reported criminal trespass in the 200 block of Highland Avenue. Someone was residing in the vacant rental housing property.

• 5:09 p.m. — A woman, 23, was arrested for theft, trafficking stolen property and fraudulent schemes, stemming from an incident reported on Tuesday at Aegis, 4251 Enterprise Way.

• 5:36 p.m. — A woman, 21, was arrested for a warrant out of the Sierra Vista Police Department for failure to appear on the original charge of driving with a suspended license. She was booked into the county jail.

• 5:48 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at PC’s Lounge, 4700 E. Highway 90. The accident was a rear-end type. One of the drivers was cited.

• 8:14 p.m. — A resident reported a theft in city limits. The license plate was taken from his or her vehicle.

• 9:44 p.m. — A woman, 34, was arrested for criminal trespass in the 200 block of Highland Avenue. The arrest was the result of the incident listed earlier in the day at that location. She was cited and released.

• 9:55 p.m. — A report of shots fired in the area of the 400 block of South Garden Avenue. The source was not found.

FRIday

• 12:13 a.m. — A burglary was reported in the 2200 block of Las Brisas Way. A PlayStation, flat screen TV and DVD player were taken from the premises.

• 12:54 a.m. — A vehicle burglary was reported in the 90 block of Kings Way. A radio was taken from the vehicle between Wednesday and Friday.

• 2:19 a.m. — A man, 28, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in the 2300 block of East Fry Boulevard. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 30 days. He was booked into the county jail.

• 3:29 a.m. — Domestic violence/assault and domestic violence/criminal damage were reported in the 1300 block of Andrea Drive. Someone bit the victim and broke some personal property. They remains at large at this time.

• 6:50 a.m. — A three-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Avenida del Sol.
