Jeremy Thomas Roger Bright

Feb. 9, 1988 - Nov. 18, 2008

Published/Last Modified on Sunday, Nov 23, 2008 - 05:15:12 am MST

Jeremy Thomas Roger Bright was taken to be with the Lord way too soon. He had a giant loving heart, a beautiful comforting smile — and those dimples. He was a wonderful son, loving husband, a good friend and Pa’s little helper. He was a lifelong member of the Tombstone Community Church and attended Tombstone High School. He will be deeply missed and loved. Not a day will go by that we won’t miss his beautiful loving smile.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ashlee Bright, and stepson, Luis; parents, Robert and Patti Bright; grandparents, Robert “Bobby” and Merle Cowan and Ed O’Steen; sister, Jenna Bright; tons of aunts, uncles, cousins; and, of course, tons more friends.

Funeral services will be held at Tombstone Community Congregational Church, 116 E. Allen St., in Tombstone, Ariz., at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, with Pastor Tina Squire officiating. Interment will follow at Tombstone City Cemetery.

Arrangements by Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

" I want to thank everyone for your kind words and prayers for our family. Jeremy was always a free spirit and lived life to the fullest. He was who he was and I love him for that. Although our lives will never be the same, I thank God for blessing us with him. I love you Jeremy, more than words will ever say. I hear you in the wind, I feel you in the sunshine. God bless you all, and never forget him or the good times. "

    " Rob and Patti,
I'm sorry I couldn't be there for the funeral. Despite the fact that we live so far apart, you are two of my oldest and dearest friends in the world. You gave me one of the greatest honors I can imagine when you gave Jeremy my name. I can't imagine what I could possibly do to ease your pain at this time other than to let you know that I am thinking of you and that I will always be your friend. My heart crosses the miles to you both. God bless you. "

You gave me 20 years of pure fun and love that came from your loving heart. My life will not be the same with you gone. I just hope you can see how much better our lives were while you were here with us. I miss you so much, you will always be inside my broken heart. I LOVE YOU SON "

" Jeremy and I went indian pottery hunting around his 13th birthday. What a gift that time with him was. He rode me all over in a gator. We had a terrific time. He showed me with a young boy's pride his interests and knowledge of HIS desert. That is a priceless memory that has and will always be dear to my heart. Peace come to all in this time of heartache. Love, Karen "

" I’ll never forget you, Jeremy. You were a great friend to my sons and to Elizabeth and we all miss you dearly. Your heart was as big as this universe. I’ll never forget the day you guys almost lost Kevin Jr.’s truck off the side of your trailer. What were you thinking? :-) But you got it done! I know you’re in Heaven with Jesus and that He is taking care of you and giving you the joy that you so richly deserve. With much love, Kevin Sr. "

" Jermey lived nextdoor to us and I watched him grow up. As a youth, he was an excellent horseman. He could ride a horse and round up cattle as good as any old cowboy! Peace be with you, Jermey, as you part for that "final round up" in the sky...just remember: "you always had a way!". Love to you and your family: Patti, Rob, Jenna, Merle and the cowboy's cowboy, your grandpa, Bobby. "
