SIERRA VISTA — Four people were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation examining more than $13,000 in unpaid merchandise from the Lowe’s home improvement store, police said.
The investigation began Aug. 28 when a Sierra Vista police officer arrived at Lowe’s, 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, after being contacted by the store’s loss prevention team. Once there, Jimmy Holmgren, 36, was arrested in connection with the scheme, which involved more than $13,000 in merchandise, including washers and dryers, said Tracy Grady, public information officer for the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Two more arrests were made nearly a month later.
Lisa M. Leon, 29, and Jerry H. Wingate, 36, were arrested after Special Operations investigators served two search warrants stemming from the investigation, according to police on Tuesday.
