Pauline Mary Montoya, 83, passed away at the Copper Queen Community Hospital in Bisbee, Ariz., on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008. Pauline was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Aug. 16, 1925, to Victor Trujillo and Requel Apodaca Trujillo. She has been a resident of Jerome, Ariz., and Bisbee for 65 years coming from New Mexico.

Pauline was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed cooking, dancing, music and playing the harmonica, camping and horseback riding. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Patrick Church. Pauline will be deeply missed by her family.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Reyes Montoya, on Sept. 25, 1981; her son Johnny Montoya on Dec. 9, 1994; three babies, George, Requel and Mary Montoya; and a grandson, Orlando Aragon on May 5, 1987.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Joe and Barbara Montoya of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughters, Bertha Aragon of Bisbee and Lupe Montoya of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter-in-law Diane Montoya of Mesa; two brothers, Ramon Trujillo (Linda) and Orlando Trujillo, all of New Mexico; sisters Connie Trujillo of Colorado, Carmen Rivera (Roberto) of New Mexico; brother-in-law Gene Montoya of New Mexico; eight grandchildren, Chuck Montoya (Cheryl), Rey Montoya, Angie Aragon/Herrera (Cris), Yolanda Raichert (Robert), Diego Aragon (Carol), Anthony Montoya, Travis Montoya (Amanda) and Brek Montoya; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Dugan Funeral Chapel on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Rosary will follow at St. Patrick Church at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the resurrection will be said on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Dugan Funeral Chapel is handling all arrangements.
