Emmanuel was born on Feb. 23, 1992, at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised by Gloria and Lester Daniel.
As an infant, Emmanuel was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. During his short but full life, Emmanuel survived three open-heart surgeries. The first at Boston Children’s Hospital in January 1993, the next two were conducted at University Medical Center, Tucson, Ariz., in August 2005 and September 2007, respectively. All were successful operations.

His lasting tribute is his love for God, people and life. He was a member of Calvary’s Rock Church and an active participant in their youth ministry called Children of Zion. His favorite gospel singers were Tye Tribbett and Kirk Franklin. He was best known for his infectious smile and impersonations of Madea. Emmanuel always had encouraging words of wisdom that affected all who came in contact with him.
Emmanuel is survived by his mother, Gloria (Palmer) Daniel; his father, Lester Daniel Jr. of Albany, Ga; two brothers, Cornelius, 20, Sierra Vista, and Demetrius, 19, Lackland AFB, Texas; grandmother, Jacqueline Palmer; and great-grandmother Lucy H. Conn, Carlisle, Pa.; aunt, Gail (Palmer) Parker and her husband, Jeffery Parker, Maumelle, Ark.; uncle, Garret Palmer and his wife, Wanda (White) Palmer, Gettysburg, Pa.; two nieces, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday Sept. 18, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday Sept. 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Main Post Chapel, Fort Huachuca. The interment will follow at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Those wishing to join the funeral procession to the Post Chapel need to meet in the parking lot of the Widow’s Support Center outside the Main Gate at 10:30 a.m.
