Kalidas was born in India where he lived in a small village for the first five years of his life. After coming to the United States and graduating from Vanderbilt University with a B.A., he felt a longing for a more simple life.
He revisited India, moved to the Southwest and began studying Eastern mysticism in spiritual communities, mainly Hindu and Buddhist. The next 10 years helped him reconnect with the basic principles of Sanatan Dharma and recreate a sense of balance.
Based on his own life experiences, Kalidas feels that if we learn to curb our attachments and return to the simple laws of nature, we will be able to live more fulfilling lives. To hear his music and learn more visit www.kalidasmusic.com.

At Unity of the Huachucas, A Center for Practical Christianity on Sunday the Rev. Jim Marshall’s sermon title is “Putting God First.” God is always in charge of our lives — even when we are not aware of it, God is in charge. The problem is we have free will and get out of “God flow” and think we can do our lives all by ourselves. We need to consciously put God in charge, all the time!
If you would like to experience positive, practical Christianity wherein you are held in the light as a beautiful child of God, you and your children are invited to join us and experience and learn of your innate goodness this coming Sunday at Unity of the Huachucas, Center for Practical Christianity.
Sunday service is at 10:30 am. The newly remodeled sanctuary is at 7487 E. Larkspur Lane, in Hereford. The Unity Center on Larkspur is off Moson Road, equidistant from Ramsey Road and Hereford Road.
