Thomas “Tom” Lee Baker, 52, of Whetstone, Ariz., died Aug. 7, 2008.

He was born July 30, 1956, in Rapid City, S.D.

Tom lived two years in Whetstone. He had 12 1/2 years of education. He was a high school graduate and an honor student. He served two years in the military. He worked 32 years in floor covering. His hobbies were camping, gardening, outdoor activities, Bible study, sports, barbecuing and cooking.

He was married Jan. 29, 1978, to Michelle McHenry in Napa, Calif. She survives him.

Survivors also include his parents, Jack and Lona Baker of Whetstone; siblings, Denise Flores of Napa, and Darrick Baker and Jamie Baker, both of Vallejo, Calif.; children, Thomas “T.J.” Baker, Thomas “Johnny” Baker, Eric “Jason” Baker and Melissa “Missy Girl” Baker, all of Whetstone; grandson, James Orion Baker of Las Vegas, Nev.; uncle Gerald “Buster” Baker and aunt Dorothy (Dottie) Ryan of Las Vegas, aunt Donna Kennedy and family of Rapid City and aunt Sally Nicholson and family of Sandy, Ore.; nieces, Jamie Jean Baker of Whetstone, Jessica Mae Baker of Suisun City, Calif., Rachel Baker of Vallejo, Calif., Shawna Shaw of San Jose, Calif, and Summer King of Napa; nephews, Joshua King of Las Vegas and Jordan Baker of Suisan City; and two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

The funeral will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Patagonia and Sixth streets in Benson, Ariz., on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at 1 p.m.

Always loved, never forgotten. He lives in our hearts and memories. His easy smiles and laughter will linger on.
