SIERRA VISTA — Scattered thunderstorms are headed Cochise County’s way.
And with the storms, the National Weather Service on Saturday night issued a small stream flood advisory for central Cochise County through 10:15 p.m. MST.
Heavy rainfall was expected in areas south of Willcox to south of Cochise and northwest of Pearce-Sunsites. "Ponding of water" also was forecast for country roads and farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.
Storm activity was expected to increase into the evening and through the weekend, according to the weather service.
