The following are highlights from the calls for service or citizen contracts received or initiated by the Sierra Vista Police Department.

June 25

• 9:27 a.m. — A two-vehicle, injury wreck was reported on Charleston Road at Colombo Avenue. One driver failed to yield on making a left turn. Both drivers were transported to Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Emergency Department by Sierra Vista Fire Department Emergency Medical Services. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• 11:01 a.m. — A man, 19, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after turning himself in at the Sierra Vista Police Department. He was involved in the 1:29 a.m. beer rip at the Circle K at 200 S. Highway 92.  He was cited and released.



• 11:31 a.m. — A red Magnum BMX style bicycle was reported stolen from the yard of a home in the 5000 block of Via De Lomas.

• 12:18 p.m. — A purse was reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle parked in the 4300 block of Plaza Vista. The theft apparently occurred around June 17.

• 12:59 p.m. — A woman, 18, came to the Sierra Vista Police Department to turn herself in.  She was arrested on charges of false reporting to law enforcement and forgery. These two charges stem from the Domino’s Pizza delivery driver robbery on the June 8 at Garden Canyon Mobile Home Park.  She gave a false name and date of birth at that time to avoid arrest on four Cochise County failure to appear warrants. She was booked at the county jail.

• 1:03 p.m. — An amplifier was reported stolen out of a vehicle parked in the Sierra Service Center parking lot at 296 E. Fry Blvd.

• 1:21 p.m. — A one-vehicle, injury wreck was reported in the One Hour Martinizing parking lot at 556 W. Fry Blvd. A vehicle struck the building.

• 1:47 p.m. — A man, 32, was arrested for three counts of disorderly conduct after police were called to a disturbance/possible fight in progress at the Mall at Sierra Vista. He was booked at the county jail.

• 5:28 p.m. — A man, 40, was arrested on a Department of Public Safety warrant after police contact in the 1100 block of East Fry Boulevard. He was booked at the county jail.

• 6:36 p.m. — A vehicle/bicycle injury wreck was reported on Carmichael Avenue at Myer Drive. The driver of the vehicle apparently made an unsafe turn.

• 7:18 p.m. — Several items were reported stolen out of a home under construction in the 1600 block of Plaza Ayala. Apparently, the items have been taken over a six month span of time.

• 7:33 p.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police contact in the 100 block of East Fry Boulevard.  He was cited and released.

• 10:10 p.m. — A man of unknown age was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Buffalo Soldier Trail at Avenida Cochise. The vehicle was towed for impound. He was cited and released.

• 10:24 p.m. — A man, 39, was arrested for domestic violence at a home in the 900 block of Pico Court. The charge stems from an incident that occurred earlier in the week. He was booked at the county jail.

• 10:53 p.m. — A man, 21, was arrested on a Cochise County failure to appear warrant after police contact in the 2000 block of Carmelita Drive. He was booked at the county jail.

• 11:15 p.m. — Police were called to the 800 block area of Langan Avenue to a report of two shots being heard in that area. Responding officers were unable to locate a source.

June 26

• 1:10 a.m. — Police were called to the Earl Drive and Martin Drive area to a report of several shots being heard in that area. Responding officers were unable to locate a source.

• 1:14 a.m. — A man, 18, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with alcohol in his system under the age of 21 after a traffic stop on Foothills Drive at Camino del Norte. He also was charged with underage consumption of alcohol. The 20-year-old female passenger was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol. The vehicle was towed for impound. Both were cited and released.

• 1:36 a.m. — Three 17-year-old girls were referred to Juvenile Probation Office for curfew violation after they were found wandering in the Santa Catalina Drive and Coronado Drive area. All three were released to parents.

June 27

• 7:12 a.m. — Mailboxes on El Camino Real were the target of a vandal or vandals sometime during the night. At least seven mailboxes were damaged.

• 7:53 a.m. — Sometime during the night a potato was thrown at the window of a home in the 1100 block of Catalina Drive. The outside pane of the duel pane window was broken.

• 10 a.m. — A bottle of Vicodin was reported stolen out of a room at the Comfort Inn at 3500 E. Fry Blvd.

• 1:24 p.m. — A man, 18, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and on a Cochise County failure to appear warrant after a traffic stop in the 700 block of Silverwood Drive. He was booked at the county jail.

• 2:28 p.m. — A man, 21, was arrested on a Huachuca City Police Department warrant after police contact on East Martin Drive. He was booked at the county jail.

• 4:38 p.m. — A man, 23, was arrested for domestic violence after police were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of North Giulio Cesare Avenue. He was booked at the county jail.

• 7:21 p.m. — Police were called to the Golf Links Road and Town and Country Drive area to a reported assault. The female victim told officers a silver/gray newer truck occupied by juveniles shot at and hit her in the arm with a bb gun or air soft gun. No other information was provided.

June 28

• 2:37 a.m. — A man, 22, was arrested for providing alcohol to a minor after police contact in the 1400 block of Via Viento. A boy, 17, was referred to Juvenile Probation Office for underage consumption of alcohol. A 20-year-old woman was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol. She was cited and released. The 22-year-old man was cited and released. The juvenile was released to a parent.

• 5:41 a.m. — A man of unknown age was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. He was cited and released.

• 5:57 a.m. — A boy, 17, was referred to Juvenile Probation Office for underage possession of alcohol after police were called to check a suspicious person lying on the ground in the area of Cherokee Avenue and Raven Drive. The juvenile was taken home and released to a parent.

•12:28 p.m. — A man, 41, was arrested for trespassing at Food City in Indian Hills Plaza. He was cited and released.

• 1:18 p.m. — Arizona license plate MC50TL was reported stolen off a motorcycle parked in the Plaza Vista Mall parking lot.

• 2:30 p.m. — A woman, 21, was arrested on a criminal damage charge after allegedly breaking the windshield of a vehicle parked in the Casa de la Sierra Apartment complex parking lot at 500 S. Coronado Drive. earlier in the day. She was booked at the county jail.

• 3:51 p.m. — A man, 46, was arrested driving under the influence after being involved in a two vehicle non-injury wreck on Peterson Street. He was booked at the county jail.

• 7:18 p.m. — Graffiti was reported on the back of the Ross building in the Plaza Vista Mall.

• 7:47 p.m. — A purse, left unattended, was reported stolen from the food court at The Mall at Sierra Vista.

• 8:06 p.m. — A girl, 16, was referred to Juvenile Probation Office for shoplifting at Target, 4151 E. Highway 90. She was also charged with giving false information to law enforcement. She was released to a parent.

Sunday

• 12:36 a.m. — A man, 23, was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Highway 90 at Avenida Del Sol. He was cited and released.

• 2:49 a.m. — A woman, 19, and man, 18, were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol after police contact in Veterans’ Memorial Park at 3105 E. Fry Blvd. Both were cited and released to the Military Police.

• 3:11 a.m. — Police were called to a home in the Mountain Vista Mobile Home Park at 700 S. Carmichael Ave. to a reported armed robbery. The 62-year-old male victim told officers that two people had entered his home, taken a handgun that he had and some other items then hit him with the pistol. The victim suffered obvious facial injuries. The intruders fled on foot. At approximately 5:02 a.m., both intruders were located hiding under a mobile home in the Garden Canyon Mobile Home Park at 405 S. Garden Ave. The were identified as a woman, 36, and a man, 29, both of Sierra Vista. Both were arrested on charges of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, first-degree burglary and theft. The man was also charged with being a prohibited possessor of a firearm. Both were booked at the county jail and are currently being held on $250,000 bond each.

• 11:12 a.m. — A woman 42, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Highway 90 at Avenida Del Sol. The vehicle was towed for a 30-day impound. She was cited and released.

• 1:44 p.m. — A man, 37, was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage and threatening after police were called to a disturbance at Safeway, 2190 E. Fry Blvd. He was cited and released.

• 3:49 p.m. — A man, 23, and a woman, 23, were arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 2011 E. Fry Blvd. Both were cited and released.

• 4:48 p.m. — A man, 26, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Charleston Road. The vehicle was towed for a 30-day impound. He was cited and released.

• 5:01 p.m. — A man, 42, was arrested for domestic violence after police were called to a disturbance in the Wilcox Drive and Seventh Street area. He was booked at the county jail.

• 6:00 p.m. — A digital camera and cash were reported stolen out of an unsecured locker at the Cove, 2900 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.

• 8:16 p.m. — A man, 19, was arrested on a criminal damage charge after police were called to disturbance in the 200 block of Steffens Street. He was cited and released.

• 10:04 p.m. — Police were called to the Nelson Drive and Kayetan Drive area to a report of one shot heard in that area. Responding officers were unable to locate a source.

• 10:38 p.m. — Police were called to the Fry Boulevard and Garden Avenue area to a report of shots heard in that area. Responding officers were unable to locate a source.

Monday

• 1:55 a.m. — Beer was reported stolen from the Circle K at 95 Rainbow Way.

• 3:59 a.m. — A gray 2003 KIA Sorenta was reported stolen from the 3000 block of Nichols Drive.

• 8:26 a.m. — Graffiti was reported at Calle Portal and Mockingbird Drive.

• 9:27 a.m. — A woman, 31, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at Highway 92 and Foothills Drive. The subject was cited and released. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• 10:13 a.m. — A man, 20, was arrested in the 2300 block of Chaplain Carter Drive. He was arrested for identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of a credit card. He was booked into the county jail.

• 10:33 a.m. — Graffiti was reported 155 Calle Portal. A copper sign in the parking lot was defaced.

• 10:41 a.m. — A woman, 37, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at Coronado and Busby Drive. She was cited and released. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• 11:37 a.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Fry Boulevard. The caller reported the driver of a vehicle backed into her vehicle leaving the parking lot westbound on Fry Boulevard. The investigation continues.

• 11:51 a.m. — A resident in the 1700 block of Chaplain Carter reported fraud after being contacted by a financial crimes detective in Dallas, Texas. Apparently, the victim’s personal information was found while the detective was conducting another investigation. The victim’s information was used to make a fraudulent purchase at Best Buy in Murray, Utah. The investigation has been referred to Murray, Utah, Police Department.

• 2:14 p.m. — A lawn mower and carpet cleaner were stolen from a premises in the 100 block of James Drive. The investigation continues.

• 3:57 p.m. — A hit-and-run wreck was reported at Charleston Road and Giulio Cesare Avenue. The driver of the suspect vehicle was found in the CVS parking lot a short time later. The driver did not recall the collision.

• 5:13 p.m. — A woman, 39, was arrested for theft of a 30 MB iPod after officers were dispatched to the Animal Control Building at 6799 E. Highway 90. She took the iPod from an Animal Control employee. She was booked into the county jail.

• 5:24 p.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on Buffalo Soldier Trail and North Garden Avenue. He was cited and released. His vehicle was towed for a 30-day impound.

• 5:50 p.m. — A woman, 29, was arrested in the 300 block of El Camino Real for a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal damage. She was booked at the county jail.

• 6:16 p.m. — A resident in the 2700 block of Thunderbird reported the theft of $950. The resident reported his roommate had a party at the residence over the weekend and the money may have been taken at that time.

• 6:33 p.m. — A resident in the 3300 block of Plaza de Lanza reported the theft of $300.00. The alleged thief has left the state.

• 7:14 p.m. — A resident in the 300 block of Tree Top Avenue reported the theft of a 12-gauge shotgun and an M16 BB Gun. The investigation continues.

• 7:23 p.m. — A resident in the 4400 block of East Busby Drive reported a vehicle burglary. An unknown subject took the left taillight assembly from the vehicle.

• 7:51 p.m. — A non-injury wreck was reported in the vicinity of the 300 block of Fry Boulevard One of the drivers was cited for failure to control speed to prevent a collision.

• 10:15 p.m. — A resident in the 2000 block of Copper Sunrise reported the theft of a water hose holder.

Tuesday

• 7:31 a.m. — A man, 25, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after contact in the Safeway parking lot. He was cited and released.

• 8:44 a.m. — A resident in the 2400 block of Willow Bark Lane reported fraud. The suspect charged $106.84 to have flowers, a stuffed animal and balloons delivered to a residence in Houston, Texas.

• 9:26 a.m. — A resident in the 2500 block of Candlewood Drive reported fraud. An unknown individual opened a Pay Pal account using the victim’s name and Social Security number.

• 12:08 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Charleston Road and Highway 90.  One of the drivers was cited.

• 12:33 p.m. — A search warrant was served in the 200 block of School Drive stemming from an aggravated assault (with a weapon) investigation.

• 1:42 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from the 400 block of Meadows Drive. The bicycle is described as a gray Haro BMX bicycle. The incident occurred on June 29.

• 2:28 p.m. — A resident of the 1500 block of East Busby Drive reported identity theft. An unknown subject used the victim’s social security number to get a job in New York.

• 3:43 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Highway 92. The parties exchanged information at the scene.

• 4:12 p.m. — A two-vehicle non-injury wreck was reported in the 3400 block of Fry Boulevard. Parties exchanged information at the scene.

• 4:28 p.m. — A resident of the 4400 block of Plaza Vista reported fraud. The victim reported an unknown individual opened an account with “Drivetime.” The account is now in collections.

• 4:37 p.m. — A single-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at the First Assembly of God at 840 N. Lenzner Ave. The driver was unable to control the vehicle, which resulted in striking the church building’s north wall.

• 6:17 p.m. — A burglary was reported at the Sierra Vista Self Storage at 900 E. Wilcox Drive. The victim stated that the lock was pried from the unit. A couch, chairs, pioneer stereo and photographs were stolen.

• 6:36 p.m. — A woman, 52, was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 2300 block of East Wilcox Drive. She was yelling at a neighbor’s friend and broke a wine glass.

• 7:20 p.m. — A man, 29, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at Buffalo Wild Wings at 205 S. Highway 92. Robinson was booked into the county jail.

• 8:36 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 90 and Highway 92.

• 9:13 p.m. — A resident in the 100 block of Kayetan Drive reported shots fired.  Officers were unable to determine the source.

• 9:37 p.m. — A woman, 23, was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers were called to the 500 block of Coronado Drive. She was booked at the county jail.

• 9:39 p.m. — Shoplifting was reported at the Circle K on South Seventh Street. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male wearing a gray hoodie walked out without paying for an 18-pack of beer.

• 11:12 p.m. — A resident of the 900 block of Charles Drive reported an aggravated assault. The victim reported that a known subject had attempted to run over the victim with a motor vehicle. The case has been referred to the County Attorney’s Office.

Wednesday

• 1:30 a.m. — A man, 30, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at El Camino Real and Calle Camellia. He was cited and released.

• 1:40 a.m. — A single vehicle wreck occurred at mile marker 315 of Highway 90. The rental vehicle struck an animal resulting in damage.

• 5:57 a.m. — A man, 46, was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Fry Boulevard.

• 8:50 a.m. — An employee of Kanmar Gutters at 360 S. Seventh St. reported one of the trucks had its gas hose cut and gasoline siphoned.

• 9:26 a.m. — A resident of the 1100 block of Calle Estudiante reported an unknown individual attempted to break into his vehicle. The locks were tampered with.

• 9:50 a.m. — A resident of the 2300 block of Madera Drive reported that her daughter used her name when stopped for a traffic offense. A woman, 26, is being investigated for forgery, false reporting to law enforcement and driving on a suspended license. The investigation continues.

• 10:09 a.m. — A resident of the 2200 block of Las Brisas reported receiving a sexually explicit photograph on her cell phone. The officer attempted to contact the sender and advise of inappropriate behavior.    

• 12:33 p.m. — An employee of Long Realty reported a burglary in the 4500 block of Cedar Drive. An air-conditioning unit was removed from a rear window.

• 1:06 p.m. — A man, 23, was arrested for disorderly conduct after contact at the M Car Wash at 77 N. Seventh St. The man was booked into the Cochise County Jail.

• 1:08 p.m. — A juvenile will be referred to Juvenile Probation Office for possession of a small quantity of marijuana. The Juvenile Probation Office contacted officers after a probation search in the 100 block of James Drive. The referral is pending.

• 2:53 p.m. — A resident reported a vehicle burglary at the Life Care Center at 2305 E. Wilcox Drive. A car stereo was stolen and the ignition was tampered with. The investigation continues.

• 3:19 p.m. — A resident reported a vehicle burglary in the dirt parking lot located to the south of the Gas City on Buffalo Soldier Trail. An unknown subject pried open an RV’s door and stole two 13-inch TV/DVD combinations, a microwave and a DVD player. The incident occurred sometime since June 25.

• 4:44 p.m. — A single-vehicle wreck was reported at Fry Boulevard and El Camino Real. The operator of the motorcycle left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.

• 9:01 p.m. — A resident of the 100 block of West Brown Drive reported shots fired in the area. The source was not found.

• 9:02 p.m. — A man of unknown age was arrested for domestic violence/criminal damage after an incident at Linda’s Lounge, 211 E. Bartow Drive. He was booked in the Cochise County Jail.

• 9:26 p.m. — A two-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at Highway 92 and Avenida Cochise.

• 9:54 p.m. — A juvenile was referred for driving with a revoked license after contact in the 900 block of East Wilcox Drive. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The juvenile was released to her parent’s custody.

• 10:58 p.m. — An employee at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, 300 El Camino Real, reported graffiti.

• 11:17 p.m. — An employee at McDonald’s, 1802 E. Fry Blvd., reported a counterfeit $20 bill was passed. The investigation continues.

• 11:45 p.m. —Officers responded to Karima’s Haircutters, 200 E. Fry Blvd., Suite 1, for the report of misconduct involving a weapon. The incident stemmed from an earlier incident at Linda’s Lounge. The case was referred to Cochise County Attorney’s Office.

Thursday

• 12:04 a.m. — An employee of Sierra Vista Regional Health Center reported a second incident of graffiti. A suspect vehicle has been identified. The investigation continues.
