June 22, 1944 - June 12, 2008

Shirley A. Belden, 63, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the University Medical Center of Tucson, Ariz. She was an Arizona resident for 32 years.

Shirley was born June 22 1944, in Holyoke, Mass., to Reginald and Doris (Wells) Poirier.

She was raised in Massachusetts and married Buddy Belden in Chicopee, on May 30, 1964. The family moved to Tucson in 1976 and moved to Sierra Vista in 1987. She was the office manager for Buddys TV Service. Shirley was the 22nd recipient of a liver transplant at the University Medical Center in February 1993. The family was so appreciative for the having an extra 15 years of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Buddy; grandson, Jeremy Belden; two daughters, Lynne Daconta and family, Lori Arsenault and family; mother, Doris Poirier; and brother, Ronnie and wife Gladys Poirier.

She was preceded in death by her father, Reginald.

Visitation will be today, June 17, 2008, from 5-8 P.M. at the Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 S. Highway 92, Sierra Vista.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Hatfield Memorial Chapel with Deacon George Gaun officiating.

The family would like to encourage others to offer the gift of life through organ donations.

Arrangements are by the Hatfield Funeral Home.
