SIERRA VISTA — A Huachuca City teen and a couple who had a home in Sierra Vista died this past week in two automobile wrecks.

And on Friday, authorities also were investigating a third wreck that involved a government-contracted bus.

John and Dorothy Elam, natives of Utah who have a residence in Sierra Vista, died during a traffic wreck near Cananea, Mexico, according Mexico’s government-funded news agency.

They were traveling in a 2004 white Ford Excursion at the time of the incident on Tuesday, Notimex reported, citing a state police report.

The wreck took place at kilometer 51 on the highway between Cananea and Agua Prieta. As the vehicle went around a curve, the driver lost control and it went off the road and rolled over.

The couple were taken to the Hospital Basico de Cananea to receive medical attention.

A local teen was killed in a crash Wednesday on Highway 191 north of Douglas.

Bradley Scott Eudy, 18, had residential addresses in Douglas and Huachuca City, Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Carol Capas said.

Eudy was a passenger in a 1995 Buick going northbound when it struck a guardrail near mile post 30 and rolled about 9:30 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, according to the DPS. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was driven by Dortha McGrath of Duncan, and she and another passenger, Tessa Bohlen, 18, of Thatcher, who were both wearing seat belts, received non-life-threatening injuries, the DPS said.

Driver inattention was the cause of the crash, according to the DPS.

At 9:34 p.m., Cochise County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to assist at the scene. Capas said the road about a mile south of McNeal was closed for an emergency medical helicopter to land.

And on Friday, a Wackenhut transport bus contracted by the U.S. Border Patrol rolled over on Highway 82 about 3 a.m.

Tucson residents Melissa Felix, 31, and Anna Gunnells, 37, were both airlifted by Life Flight to a Tucson hospital. Their conditions were not discussed by the DPS, which was the agency investigating the crash.

The crash happened at mile post 54.4, about 13 miles north of Sierra Vista. The cause remains under investigation.

" I am so sorry Robin, I wish things had not happened the way they did. I don't know anything about the guardrail, but my daughter Tessa was Brad's fiancee and she was the other passenger in the car. Brad did not have his seat belt on, neither did Tessa. She was thrown around in the car but was not ejected from the car like Brad was. I am so sorry but the truth needs to be told.
Like I told you at the church, Brad died for a reason, find out what that reason
    was. "

" I'm his mother and thats because the herald posted that comment without it being true. That seatbelt issue is not proven and is under investigation.Just like them putting in they hit a guard rail when there was no guardrail anywhere near the wreck site. False reporting by the herald and the dps.Neither the herald and the dps can do their jobs right and refuse to publish when they mess up.Gets your facts straight before you publish things. "

" See. No one is complaining about the direct statement of the boy-I am more than twice his age-with NO seatbelt. "
