Norma Jean Carlson, a retired occupational therapist, died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease on March 26, 2008, at the Hacienda Rehabilitation Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was 77.

Mrs. Carlson was born in Oelwein, Iowa, raised in Austin, Minn., and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Mrs. Carlson was married to Homer J. Carlson, M.D., and resided in Pelican Rapids, Minn., until 1979. After her husband accepted a commission in the U.S. Army, they resided in Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sierra Vista. She was widowed in 1992.

Mrs. Carlson will be interred with her husband on the Fort Huachuca Post Cemetery.

Mrs. Carlson is survived by her son, Christopher, and three grandchildren, Thomas, Divina and Sean.
