Jack and Maureen Gore of Sierra Vista, Ariz., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in Sierra Vista on June 23, 2007. The evening was hosted by their children and grandchildren, Judy, Carl and Eric Steventon of Sierra Vista; Steven, Margarita and Adam Gore of Chandler; Sara and Jerry Johnson of Mesa; Brian, Brenda, Zachary, Emily, Jena and Katie Gore of Centreville, Va.; and Roger, Martha, Emma, Amelia, Karly and Heidi Gore of Sierra Vista. Many family members and friends also attended.
They met at Al’s Drive-In in Tooele, Utah on March 9, 1957, and were married May 22, 1957. Jack served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959, with the last two years being in Germany. He worked for Dictaphone Corporation in Salt Lake City and at Tooele Army Depot for four years.
In 1966, they transferred to Cleveland, Ohio, and he worked at the Cleveland Tank Plant. They also lived in Detroit, Mich., and Davenport, Iowa, prior to a job transfer to Fort Huachuca in 1974.
They lived in Eich, Germany, while Jack was employed at 5th Signal Command in Worms and in Weisloch, Germany, while he again worked in Worms. Jack retired as a Civil Service employee in 1994. Maureen was employed by the U.S. government as a secretary for 13 years.

They are active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served an 18-month mission for the church in Lansing, Mich.
