Sierra Vista Little League wraps up; All-Star teams announced

SIERRA VISTA — Saturday evening at Stone Complex at the Oscar Yrun Community Center, the Sierra Vista Little League wrapped up its season and announced its All-Stars, who beginning on July 5 will represent the city in the District 8 Playoffs.

Brian Sample of the Raptors T-ball team led the Pledge of Allegiance and Kristyn Briseno of the Giants read the Little League pledge.

After the teams were acknowledged and the winners in each age division were given trophies, the selections for the All-Star teams were announced.

The 9-10 year-old American All-Stars managed by Marcos Armendariz and coached by Glen Gaskins are: Justin Syphers of the A’s, Najee Gaskins of the Yankees, Dakota Armendariz, Rafael Adames of the Yankees, Patrick Penrod of the Majors’ A’s, Forest Lapp of the Red Sox, Chase Gonzales of the Majors Red Sox, Kenny Wilson of the Angels, Jared McDonald of the Majors Red Sox, Jacob Bayardo of the Blue Jays, Carlos Romo of the Majors White Sox and Cody Carey of the White Sox.

The 9-10 National All-Stars, managed by Adam Thrasher and coached by Mike Osterman, are: Juan Aguilera, John-Aaron Carbajal, Gabriel Cook, Ricky Corning, Jordan Haymore, Taylor Haymore, Alex Nevarrez, Michael Osterman, Jose Rodriguez, Jonte Santos, Xiajia Schuldies and Matt Thrasher.

In the Majors’ Division, the American All-Stars, managed by Greg Duce and coached by Bo Hall are: Zack Estacio, Matt Duce, Fausto Velasquez, Vinny Marciano, Seth Martinez, Darrick Hall, Josh Gleave, Jordan Carns, Pablo Dagnino, Oscar Escarcega and Weston Armendariz.

The National Majors All-Stars, managed by Eli Viscaino and coached by Jim Kuhl, are: Brent Doser, Jimmy Maldonado, Esteban Serino, Frankie Silva, Anthony Starks, Elijah Perez, Zach Johnson, Anthony Petrillo, James Ewing, Ryan Kuhl, David Munoz and Patrick Tarbet.

The Juniors, managed by Andy Reynolds and coached by John Elam, are: Austin Centracchio, Sam Bellomy, Kody Denton, Tagg Duce, Jordan Dunn, Matt Elam, Eddie Hardy, Michael Jordan, Bert Martinez, Jeremy Reynolds, Hubie Schroer, Francisco Villa and Tyler Wilson. The Seniors, managed by Sam Miller, are: Murray Adams, Enrique Aristigue, Dallas Belair, Maurice Davis, Evan Dugie, Aaron Estacio, Alejandro Figueroa, Sam Gilbertson, Chris Harris, Alejandro Hawkins, Joseph McCarthy and Jose Monge.

The Senior and Junior District 8 Playoffs will be played in Sierra Vista, while the 9- and 10-year-olds will play in Douglas. Starting on July 5, the Majors will play in Nogales.
