Jack felt the importance of serving the Lord and had many callings throughout his life. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He felt privileged to be an ordinance worker in the Mesa Temple with Karma for four years.
A few of Jack’s joys in life were hunting with his sons, deep sea fishing in Mexico, family jaunts to Nogales, visiting and speaking Spanish and drinking maté with his missionary chés. His greatest joy was his family.
Together Jack and Karma raised seven children: Craig (Elaine), Gary (Pat), Jack LaMar Jr. (Karen), Paul, Kathleen Zahn (Rich), Scott (Shanon) and Jocelyn Griffin (Rich).
Jack is survived by his loving wife Karma; children; 30 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sister, Peggy Andersen (Dwayne); and brothers, Edward, Jamie, Seaman and Stephen. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Genevieve Meierstein; brothers, Billy and Ted; daughter-in-law Annette; and grandson Jon.
