Sylvia Mae Wozlek, 81, a homemaker, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Las Vegas, Nev.


She was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Douglas, Ariz., to John E. and Grace Ellen (McClintock) Woodward. Sylvia lived most of her life in Douglas moving to Huachuca City, Ariz., in 1962. She was a loving mother and grandmother who touched the lives of many people, family and friends. She will be truly missed. Sylvia was a direct descendent of the pilgrims of the Mayflower colony.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Yvonna Blunk, and husband, Robert of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Richard Robertson, and his wife, Annitta, of Silver City, N.M.; two grandchildren, Richard Blunk and his wife Staci, of Kingman, Ariz., and Donald Blunk and his wife, Cindy, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and four great-grandchildren, Alan James and Shelby Blunk of Kingman, Ariz., and Daniel Blunk and Ryan Kreutz, both of Las Vegas, Nev.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Adam J. Wozlek Sr. of Huachuca City, Ariz.; her son, Adam J. Wozlek Jr.; a brother, John (Bud) Woodward; her parents; and her stepfather,   Edward I. (Curly) Robertson.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 21, 2007, at Hatfield Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until noon. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on the same day at the Post Cemetery on Fort Huachuca.

If friends wish they may join the procession at the Main Gate of Fort Huachuca by meeting in the parking lot of the Widow’s Support Center at 12:30 p.m.

Hatfield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
