SIERRA VISTA — Cochise County Attorney Ed Rheinheimer will speak at the 1200 Club dinner meeting on May 18.

Rheinheimer has been with the county Attorney’s Office since 1992. In November 2004, he was elected to the office of county attorney.

Rheinheimer has both a varied professional and military career. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served for four years. He decided that higher education might provide him with a better career path and after four years he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Elmira College in New York. He attended law school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., and received his juris doctor degree in 1979.

After law school Rheinheimer received a direct commission as captain in the Army. Prior to his career with the Cochise County Attorney’s Office, he was in private practice with Tim Dickerson, current Justice of the Peace for District 5.

The 1200 Club is a Republican dinner club featuring guest speakers and candidates. Rheinheimer will be speaking on the subject of separating fact from fiction in the Attorney’s Office.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. at The Palms, with dinner at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made in advance by calling Barbara Kilness at 459-1715, or by sending your check with reservation request to: 1200 Club, P. O. Box 832, Sierra Vista AZ 85636.

The cost is $20 per person if paid in advance.
