Frosco to coach his last game at Warren Ballpark tonight

BISBEE — Sounds like “C’mon now biggun hup, fweep, fweep… two-in-the-mud, c’mon, haddup!” will beckon from the dugout and first base coaches’ box for the last time tonight, as Mike Frosco coaches his final game at Warren Ballpark.

“It’s time,” the Bisbee High baseball coach of 42 years said. “I’m 72 years old and I don’t want the game to pass me by, as I’ve seen it with other coaches. My wife and I have missed out on a lot of things every spring that now we’ll be able to do.”

Five run inning, seniors lead Buena in 6-4 Senior Day win

It took six weeks, 21 games, and her senior day for Buena senior Hailly Greenough to scuff up her usually pristine socks after Buena’s 6-4 victory over Marana Mountain View.

“I loved it,” Greenough said. “You see that dirt right there?”

The Thunder Mountain Marine Corps League Detachment 1283, the local chartered detachment for the Marine Corps League, will meet Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. in the Old Cochise County Complex at Foothills and Highway 92. All Marines or interested parties may attend. Membership in the League is available to all active duty, reserve, retired and interested Marines and FMF Navy Corpsmen.
